CableLabs’ Innovation Video Wins Viddy Gold Award

CableLabs has been recognized as a Viddy Awards 2023 Gold Winner for the video “Advancing Together: Innovation Flourishes in Our Labs.” The award-winning video, created by CableLabs’ Digital Media Producer Aabriti Shrestha, highlights our state-of-the-art facilities, which drive co-innovation for the entire broadband industry. The international competition is administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP) and honors video excellence in the digital world. This year, the AMCP received more than 2,500 entries from the United States, Canada and 22 other countries. CableLabs Director of Wireless Technologies to Speak on Two Panels at the Open RAN North America Conference

CableLabs’ director of wireless technologies, Mark Poletti, will speak on two panels at the Open RAN North America conference in Dallas on December 6 and 7, 2023. This year’s convention focuses on the future of open RAN and how it is poised to transform telecommunications. CableLabs Vice President of Wired Technologies to Give Keynote at 2023 NECTA Convention

Comcast to Deploy Industry’s First 10G Network Powered by DOCSIS 4.0 Technology

Comcast announced today that it will begin deploying DOCSIS® 4.0-enabled 10G network services to customers in Colorado next week — a first for the cable broadband industry. Xfinity customers in Colorado Springs will have access to “X-Class Internet,” Comcast’s new brand of service tiers offering symmetrical speeds of 300 Mbps, 500 Mbps, 1 Gbps and 2 Gbps. The deployment uses technology based on the latest iteration of CableLabs' Full Duplex DOCSIS technology. Read more about the deployment here.

Closing Ceremony Marks End of Public-Private 5G Challenge Collaboration

What does the future of 5G networks look like, and how will collaboration enable it? CableLabs recently welcomed government officials, policymakers, industry leaders and other experts to its Louisville, Colorado, headquarters for a ceremony marking the end of the 2023 5G Challenge and the broader two-year challenge program.
