CableLabs Wins 2019 Tech Emmy Award

The Tech Emmy Award winners were announced Wednesday the 15th and good news! CableLabs has been awarded a 2019 Technical/Engineering Achievement Award for "Pioneering Development and Deployment of Hybrid Fiber Coax Network Architecture." Congratulations CableLabs! "The Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards are awarded to a living individual, a company, or a scientific or technical organization for developments and/or standardization involved in engineering technologies that either represent so extensive an improvement on existing methods or are so innovative in nature that they materially have affected television." CableLabs’ Brian Scriber Wins IEEE Software Award

Brian Scriber, Distinguished Technologist and Vice President Security Technologies at CableLabs was awarded "2018 Best Paper Award" for his blockchain applicability paper titled "A Framework for Determining Blockchain Applicability." The great work performed implementing blockchain technologies and innovations within the Security Technologies team enabled this research. The paper can be found here. Congratulations, Brian!

CableLabs Wins Company of the Year

CableLabs wins Company of the Year Award presented at the Apex Award Ceremony. The APEX Awards recognize Colorado’s technology excellence, highlighting remarkable leaders and innovators. The ceremony was hosted by the the Colorado Technology Association on November 6th. "This Colorado-based company’s overall performance sets it apart as a leader through technical innovation and concrete examples of how it is meeting a need in the marketplace. CableLabs Names Mariam Sorond as Chief Research & Development Officer

CableLabs appointed Mariam Sorond as the organization’s Chief Research & Development Officer and Senior Vice President.
