The 2024 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC) is gearing up to host a myriad of industry experts and thought leaders in communications technology. With a focus on cutting-edge research and innovation, the conference promises to be a hub of insightful discussions and networking opportunities.
David Debrecht, CableLabs VP of Wireless Technologies, will sit in on the Executive Forum panel, adding his expertise to the discussions around OPEN RAN: Now and in the Future on Wednesday, June 12, 2:30-4:00 p.m. ET.
Dr. Steve Jia, Fellow and Director of Advanced Optical Technologies at CableLabs, will moderate Industry Panel 7: Evolving PON to a Converged Multi-service Network at the Edge on Wednesday, June 12, 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. ET. Steve will also be chairing Industry Presentation 1 on Multicarrier waveforms — a success story on the way towards 6G on Wednesday, June 12, 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. ET.
Distinguished Technologist for Proactive Network Maintenance (PNM), reliability and network operations at CableLabs, Dr. Jason Rupe, will moderate Panel 9: Service and Network Reliability in Access Networks on Tuesday, June 11, 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. ET.
Jason will also chair Industry Presentation 4 on Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS): on its Way to Wide Deployments on Monday, June 10, 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. ET.
On June 10 at 4:30 p.m., Dr. Thomas Sandholm, Principal Architect, will present in the Technical Session, Digital Twin and Machine Learning session at the ICC Symposium. The presentation will include an experimental evaluation of a processing pipeline that generates network digital twins to explore service-level appropriate configurations. He will address how machine learning techniques could be used to create virtual representations of communication networks that are more efficient for optimization.
Additionally, CableLabs’ Director of Wireless Technologies, Mark Poletti, will lend his expertise as a panelist on Industry Panel 12, enriching the discourse with his wealth of experience on Optimizing Spectrum Sharing in Terrestrial and Non-terrestrial Wireless Communication Networks Using Machine Learning: New Frontiers and Applications on Wednesday, June 12, 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. ET.
