IMJ Corporation Credited with 'Best New Idea' in CableLabs® Informal Conference Poll
KEYSTONE, Colo., August 6, 2012—IMJ Corporation was selected as having the best new idea for a product most likely to succeed as part of informal polling conducted following "Innovation Showcase" presentations during the CableLabs' Summer Conference today.
Ten companies participated in the showcase session, which provides each company with up to 10 minutes to present and demonstrate its technology solution for cable.
IMJ Corporation demonstrated the MG Stick which provides an access solution to the second screen for cable operators. It is designed to turn any TV with an HDMI port into an interactive "smart" TV.
Other Showcase participants were Alcatel-Lucent, ARRIS, Guavus Inc., i4Vu Inc., Kwarter Inc., Lyrical Labs, NETGEAR Inc., SeaChange International Inc. and Snappy TV.
"Once again, the Innovation Showcase told a convincing story about cable's importance to a new generation of creative application developers and technology innovators," said David Reed, CableLabs' Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer. Twice a year, during the summer and the winter, CableLabs hosts members-only conferences which provide attendees with current information about key technology and strategic trends facing the cable industry, as well as providing a forum for them to interact with each other.
