| Business Services Business Services represent a significant revenue opportunity for cable operators. CableLabs has published a number of specifications (T1/E1 Emulation and Layer-2 VPN for DOCSIS) as well as issued an RFP for multi-line PacketCable MTAs. What additional services should the cable operator consider and what technologies would be most appropriate to provide them? Moderator: Jim Blackley, Cablevision Andy Randall, MetaSwitch Rick Mallon, Sigma-Systems Will Rotch, Comverse Andrew Audet, Juniper Networks |

It is beginning to deploy OCAP and it continues to pursue the next generation of security in the form of downloadable conditional access. How does all this work get completed without creating a major point of confusion for operators and for investors? How do vendors prioritize their efforts in the face of so many distractions? Moderator: Chris Bowick, Cox Nick Chakalos, Motorola Michael Hawkey, ADB Ron Pessner, Microsoft Thomas Rhee, Samsung Richard Strabel, Panasonic |

| Switched Digital Video Architectures Cable operators have been deploying video-on-demand systems for several years and are beginning to trial switched digital video (a.k.a. switched digital broadcast) systems. Session-based video services either uni-cast VoD or multi-cast switched digital video share some common core architectural components. A challenge for the future is how these two systems are integrated. This session focused on the VoD and switched digital video architectures that can be deployed on cable systems. Moderator: Marwan Fawaz, Charter Kip Compton, Cisco Joe Matarese, C-Cor Mark Davis, Bigband Networks |
